College Football Playoff Predictions Week 13 – Who is most likely to make the playoff field

With just a few weeks to go before the College Football Playoff field is set, there are few undefeated teams left. Week 13 saw the elimination of two more undefeated teams, a pair of conference races sloppier.

The Indiana Hoosiers, ranked No. 5 last week, played only their second AP top-five game in school history, against the Ohio State Buckeyes, ranked No. 2. The Buckeyes handled the Hoosiers thoroughly, limiting them to just 151 yards. A win next week against the Michigan Wolverines will put Ohio State in the Big Ten title game for a rematch with the No. 1 Oregon Ducks.

In the Big 12, the BYU Cougars and Colorado Buffaloes were able to carve out a spot with wins and a little help. Neither held up their end of the deal. BYU lost to the Arizona State Sun Devils and Colorado was run over by Devin Neal and the Kansas Jayhawks.

The Army Black Knights were the other undefeated to fall in Week 13. They were handily defeated by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, who are unlikely to reach the playoffs with a win over the USC Trojans. Two teams working for at-large bids — the Alabama Crimson Tide and Ole Miss Rebels — faced road disruptions at best that could put them out of contention.
