Kansas football vs. No. 18 Colorado recap: KU wins third straight game

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kansas football is aiming for a third straight victory Saturday with its Big 12 Conference matchup against No. 18 Colorado in Kansas City, Mo., and is tied with a 37-21 win.

The Jayhawks controlled much of the game, even if Colorado found some rhythm at times. Running back Devin Neal played for Kansas, as he has done so many times during his college career. On senior day, the Jayhawks celebrate a victory.

Running back Devin Neal just rushed for another touchdown, this one from two yards out. After the extra point, Kansas leads 37-21 with 11:47 left in the fourth quarter. The drive took 8:07 off the clock and went 70 yards in 14 plays.

After a touchdown drive and extra point, Kansas leads 30-21 with 7:18 left in the third quarter. The drive went 80 yards in 10 plays and took 4:36 off the clock. Running back Devin Neal scored on a one-yard touchdown run.

Colorado is back in the end zone and follows the extra point 23-21 with 11:59 left in the third quarter. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders hit athlete Travis Hunter for a 26-yard touchdown pass. The drive took 2:53 off the clock and went 51 yards in six plays.

Kansas drove deep into the red zone against Colorado, but settled for a field goal with 0:07 left in the second quarter. Kicker Tabor Allen connected from 25 yards out. The drive went 73 yards in 12 plays and took 1:39 off the clock.

Colorado quarterback Shedeur hit wide receiver Drelon Miller for a 19-yard touchdown pass. After the extra point, Kansas’ lead is now 20-14 with 1:51 left in the second quarter. The drive took 1:56 off the clock and went 75 yards in five plays.

Kansas now leads 20-7 with 3:47 left in the second quarter. Kicker Tabor Allen connected on a 23-yard field goal. The drive went 69 yards in eight plays and took 3:27 off the clock.

Colorado is now on the scoreboard and after an extra point, a 17-7 touchdown trail follows with 7:18 left in the second quarter. Quarterback Shedeur Sanders found athlete Travis Hunter for a 51-yard touchdown pass. The drive went 75 yards in four plays and took 1:44 off the clock.

Kansas now leads 17-0 with 9:02 left in the second quarter after another touchdown drive and an extra point. This one saw running back Devin Neal score after a nine-yard rushing touchdown. The drive took 4:44 off the clock and went 61 yards in eight plays.

The Jayhawks are now up 10-0, after a 24-yard field goal by kicker Tabor Allen. The drive took 7:46 off the clock and went 61 yards in 13 plays. There is 2:39 left in the first quarter.

Kansas now leads 7-0 with 11:44 left in the first quarter after a touchdown drive and extra point. Quarterback Jalon Daniels found running back Devin Neal for a 51-yard touchdown pass, with Neal gathering several yards after the catch. The drive took 3:11 off the clock and went 73 yards in six plays.
