Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears: Third Quarter Recap and Fourth Quarter Discussion

I need everyone to join hands as we enter the final quarter of the game at Soldier Field with your Minnesota Vikings leading the Chicago Bears by a score of 24-10.

The Vikings got the ball to start the half after delaying the opening coin toss of the afternoon. The Vikings started things off in style, with Sam Darnold finding Jordan Addison for a 69-yard gain on the first play of the half, setting himself up at the Chicago 8-yard line. The Vikings then lost 12 yards on the next two plays combined and had to settle for a 40-yard field goal from Parker Romo to make it a 17-10 game less than three minutes into the quarter.

On the Bears’ next possession, they pushed themselves to the Minnesota 27-yard line and elected to go for it on 4th-and-4, but Caleb Williams’ pass fell incomplete and the Vikings took over on downs.

The teams then traded punts a bit, and one of those punts bounced off Bears’ returner DeAndre Carter and was recovered by Bo Richter at the Chicago 15-yard line. The Vikings took advantage of the mistake, as Aaron Jones ran in for a touchdown from three yards out to make it a 24-10 game.

The Bears went three-and-out on their next possession and punted it away to end the third quarter, meaning the Vikings are looking at a 1st-and-10 from their own 35-yard line as we start the fourth quarter.

Can the Vikings keep this up and take their record to 9-2 on the season? Join us for the last fifteen minutes of action and find out.
