We’re tracking two storms that will bring a threat of rain to LI this week

Two storms will bring the threat of rain to Long Island this week. The first will receive light rain showers during Tuesday’s morning rush hour. This may affect travel plans with wet roads and windy weather conditions. The second storm could bring up to an inch of rain on Thanksgiving and it could be an all-day rain event. It will dry up again on Friday during the weekend. From the weekend until next week the temperature will become much colder.



TODAY: For the most part sunny, with a high near 54. West wind 5 to 10 mph.

THIS EVENING: Partly cloudy, a chance of showers with a low around 44. Calm winds 5 to 10 mph from the south after midnight.

Tuesday: STORM VIEW. Cloudy with morning rain. Clearing late afternoon. High near 60. South wind 5 to 15 mph, west in the afternoon. Wind gusts of up to 30 km/h can occur.




Tuesday evening: Mostly clear, with a low around 37. West wind 10 to 25 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 51.

Wednesday evening: Showers after 1 a.m. Cloudy, with a low around 39.

Thanksgiving Day: STORM VIEW. Cloudy with periods of rain with a high near 54.




Thursday evening: Partly cloudy, with a low around 37.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 49.

Friday evening: Partly cloudy, with a low in the low 30s.
