Joe isn’t here to cheer on injuries, but damn, yesterday’s injury news for Bucs fans was about as delightful as Dak Precott’s torn hamstring was this month.

In four weeks, the Bucs will play the soft Cowboys without Prescott, thanks to that injury. In three weeks, Tampa Bay will face the Raiders minus starting quarterback Gardner Minshew.

Minshew broke his collarbone on Sunday and is out for the rest of the season.

Bucs fans remember veteran Minshew. He made the Bucs defense look bad last November when he started for the Colts.

The brooding Desmond Ridder is the Raiders’ backup and likely starter for now. There has been some buzz that the Raiders might try to take a long whiff from booted Giants starter Daniel Jones.

So the Bucs’ final six games could consist of facing Ridder twice, Cooper Rush (Cowboys), Derek Carr and the bumbling Panthers and Bryce Young. That’s in addition to a trip to Los Angeles to meet Justin Herbert.

If it truly is a quarterback competition, the Bucs have a pretty smooth path to a winning record.
