Microsoft 365 is working to address potential Outlook and Teams outages

If you’re a Microsoft 365 user, this Monday might have been a little more frustrating for you than usual.

The product family of software announced early Monday morning that it is investigating an issue impacting Exchange Online and Microsoft Teams users. Many workplaces around the world rely heavily on Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook and Teams.

In an afternoon update, Microsoft 365 said it is experiencing “delays” in its efforts to address the issues.

“We understand the significant impact this event has on your businesses and are working to provide relief as quickly as possible,” Microsoft said on X.

Downdetector, an online platform that monitors website and service outages, says user reports point to problems with Microsoft 365, Outlook and Teams. Problem reports for services seemed to increase just before 1 p.m

Users have shared the problems they have faced this working day in the comments sections on the Downdetector website.

“It’s almost 2:00 PM EST. I still can’t access Outlook,” one commenter wrote in the Microsoft 365 comments section.

Another commenter from Michigan said their Outlook account has been offline since about 10 a.m. EST.
