The New York Rangers have recalled Brett Berard from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.

The Rangers also assigned both Victor Mancini and Chad Ruhwedel to the Wolf Pack.

Through sixteen games in the AHL, Berard has scored seven goals, six assists and thirteen points as he has had a good start to the season.

Berard is an explosive young forward who could add a lot to the Rangers offensively if Peter Laviolette decides to put him in the lineup.

It’s unclear what this means for Filip Chytil’s health status as he is currently listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
