    Krispy Kreme unveils Whoville-inspired donut collection

    Fans of Dr. Seuss and Christmas are in for a treat this holiday season.

    Krispy Kreme announced Monday that it has acquired Dr. Seuss’ Who-ville comes to life with the Merry Grinchmas Donut Collection.

    Available for a limited time starting Friday, November 29, the collection features three new donuts, each based on a character from the holiday classic “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” The collection also includes two returning donuts: the Santa Belly Donut and the Holiday Sprinkle Donut.

    • (New) Grinch Donut: An unglazed donut filled with “coal” Cookies & Kreme filling, dipped in green Grinch icing with a grinning grin of chocolate icing and buttercream hair.
    • (New) Grinchy Claus donut: An original glazed donut dipped in chocolate glaze, topped with white buttercream, Christmas crisps and Grinch piece.
    • (New) Cindy-Lou Who Merry Berry Tree Donut: An original glazed donut dipped in strawberry flavored glaze with a green buttercream tree, festively sprinkled and topped with a star piece.
    • Christmas belly donut: An unglazed donut filled with white cream, topped with red icing, fitted with a black chocolate-colored Santa Claus belt and finished with a belt buckle.
    • Holiday Sprinkle Donut: An original glazed donut dipped in chocolate glaze with festive sprinkles.

    The collection will be available in a limited-edition custom Grinch dozen box, according to the donut chain.

    For a limited time, customers can also get a Krispy Kreme dozen or 6-pack containing the Grinch Donut, Cindy-Lou Who Merry Berry Tree Donut, Santa Belly donut and Holiday Sprinkle donuts, delivered fresh daily to select grocery stores. Here you will find a store or supermarket near you.

    “Who wants to celebrate Christmas with Krispy Kreme?! Our Merry Grinchmas donuts are guaranteed to bring a smile to even the Grinchiest Grinch,” said Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme Global Chief Brand Officer, in the press release announcing the donut collection.

    Krispy Kreme ‘Day of the Tens’ returns on December 12th

    The company also announced that it will “continue to spread the holiday cheer” with the return of its annual “Day of the Tens.”

    On December 12, Krispy Kreme is offering customers an Original Glazed dozen valued at $1 when they purchase a dozen at regular price in-store, in the drive-thru or online for pickup or delivery.
