A classic character is behind the Thanksgiving pie flavored donuts and getting ready to steal Christmas from every Who at the Krispy Kreme. Luckily, the chain known for the freshest, fluffiest donuts you can find is keeping a close eye on its three new flavors, the Merry Grinchmas Collection. They’re joined by two holiday classics that the Grinch would love to plunder.

This collaboration with Dr. Seuss Enterprises to bring you one of America’s favorite Christmas stories: “How the Grinch Who Stole Christmas!” to edible treats follows a number of appealing recent collections. The Ghostbusters collection included phantom-centric flavors for Halloween, and the Barbie collection launched in September with pink treats, complete with a donut representing the iconic doll’s Malibu beach house.

But starting Friday, November 29, Black Friday shoppers will be lining up for a green character we may love even more than Slimer. “Our Merry Grinchmas donuts are guaranteed to bring a smile to even the Grinchiest Grinch,” said Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer of Krispy Kreme. “At Krispy Kreme you are a sweet gentleman, Mr. Grinch!”

Maybe sweet in taste, but never in character. The gruff figure’s donut suits his personality, but thank Cindy-Lou Who for sweetening the lineup. These are the new offers:

• Grinch donut: an unglazed donut filled with “coal” Cookies & Kreme filling, dipped in green Grinch icing with a grin of chocolate icing and buttercream hair.

• Grinchy Claus donut: an original glazed donut dipped in chocolate icing, topped with white buttercream, Christmas crisps and a Grinch piece.

• Cindy-Lou Who Merry Berry Tree Donut: an original glazed donut dipped in strawberry flavored glaze with a green buttercream tree, sprinkled and topped with a star piece.

These three new donuts aren’t the only ones celebrating (or, in the Grinch’s case, attempting to). not to celebrate) with Christmas cheer. The returning Santa Belly Donut is unglazed but filled with white “Kreme.” It is dipped in red glaze, then fitted with a black Christmas strap and finished with the big man’s buckle. The Holiday Sprinkle Donut is an original glazed donut dipped in chocolate icing and decorated with festive sprinkles.

Want to celebrate the holidays with the whole gang? Select grocery stores will have both six-packs and dozens filled with the Grinch Donut, the Cindy-Lou Who Merry Berry Tree Donut, the Santa Belly donut and Holiday Sprinkle Donuts. You can even put together a collection yourself at your local Krispy Kreme.

You might want to do this on December 12, Krispy Kreme’s annual “Day of the Tens.” On that date only, donut lovers can purchase an original glazed dozen for $1, while purchasing another dozen at regular price. It doesn’t matter whether it’s in-store, at the drive-thru or online: the deal is still as good as it gets.
