Police said Bissonnette, who played for the Phoenix Coyotes from 2009 to 2014, tried to help management calm down three men who were feuding with Houston management by getting them to leave. According to police, the men then attacked Bissonnette “inside and outside” the restaurant around 7:30 p.m.

All three men were arrested and booked on charges of assault and disorderly conduct. A total of six people were arrested in connection with the incident.

Emergency medical services were called to Bissonnette and he was taken to the hospital for further evaluation, according to police.

Scottsdale police added that the injuries “probably not life-threatening.”
