Meghan Markle has released a statement following her appearance at a Thanksgiving event last week without husband Prince Harry.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly in the middle of a professional divorce, with reports suggesting their working relationship is ‘in a very poor state’.

In recent months, both the “Suits” alum, 43, and Harry, 40, have been spotted solo at various events.

Markle recently hosted an intimate dinner for the Southern California Welcome Project through the Sussexes’ Archewell Foundation.

However, her husband was not present at the event.

The former actress has since shared a statement on their Archewell website following the Thanksgiving event, in which she opened up about the “heartfelt dinner” she hosted for Afghan women with their partner organization Mina’s List.

“This initiative has spent the past year building community through storytelling and creating a safe space for women who have settled in the U.S. from Afghanistan,” the statement said.

“The evening included a shared meal that encouraged open conversation centered on gratitude and resilience.”

Markle “expressed her deep appreciation to those in attendance for sharing their personal stories and cultural experiences,” the statement continued, adding that she plans to host future gatherings.

“The dinner was hosted at Our Place, founded by Shiza Shahid, where participants received new cooking utensils for the upcoming holidays,” Markle’s statement said.

The Duchess “remains committed to elevating women and advancing community through shared experiences, reinforcing the importance of unity and support in difficult times,” the report concludes.

It comes as Harry attended a series of Invictus Games-related events in Vancouver last week, while Markle was spotted with her famous friends at a beauty launch event without her husband.

However, the pair appeared in a joint video earlier this month in honor of Veterans Day – with Harry admitting the pair have been “at a crossroads” with their work in recent weeks.

In their joint video appearance, the pair discussed prioritizing children’s safety online through their Archewell Foundation. It was the first time they were seen together in months.

The duo are expected to attend the 2025 Invictus Games in Canada, which will take place from February 8 to 16. The event comes 18 months after the 2023 event in Germany.

During last year’s games, Markle hinted that their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, could appear at the next event.
