Nalo is shown to be frustrated by Moana’s undoing of the curse he placed on the ocean, after which he swears revenge on her for foiling his plans.

The mid-credits scene also brings back Tamatoa, one of the original film’s main antagonists. He joins forces with Nalo and Matangi and expresses his desire to get revenge on Moana and Maui for cheating on him in the previous film.
