FLORIDA – Florida holiday shoppers looking to start their holiday shopping this Thanksgiving will have to settle for mostly online shopping as most major retailers will be closed for the holiday.

There are a few exceptions to what has been a trend since 2019 of stores closing on Thanksgiving Day. Some discount dollar stores have limited hours, and both Cabela’s and Bass Pro Shops are open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Several retail chains are already offering groundbreaking deals and prices as Black Friday events are no longer limited to a single day in a retail world transformed by online businesses. Retailers also became more flexible during product shortages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and ensured they did not overstock, thus avoiding the need to dispose of excess inventory during the holiday shopping season.

Academy Sports + Outdoors is closed on Thanksgiving, but open on Black Friday from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m

Ace Hardware is closed on Thanksgiving and open on Black Friday at 7:30 am

Banana Republic is closed on Thanksgiving, but opens at 8 a.m. in select locations on Black Friday.

Barnes & Edel is closed on Thanksgiving but opens at 8 a.m. on Black Friday, although Black Friday hours may vary by location.

Bass Pro Stores is open on Thanksgiving from 9am to 6pm and on Black Friday from 5am to 9pm.

Call stores are closed on Thanksgiving, but most reopen at 7 a.m. on Black Friday.

Best Buy stores are closed on Thanksgiving, with most expected to open at 6 a.m. On Black Friday. Some may have different opening hours due to local ordinances and regulations for landlords. So please contact your local store to confirm opening hours.

Cabelas is open on Thanksgiving from 9am to 6pm and on Black Friday from 5am to 9pm.

Dick’s sporting goods is closed on Thanksgiving Day and open on Black Friday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Dillard’s is closed on Thanksgiving Day, but has extended hours on Black Friday, depending on store location.

Dollar general stores are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. in most locations, with regular hours on Thanksgiving.

Hole stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day and select locations open at 8 a.m. on Black Friday.

H&M stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday hours vary by location.

Hobby Lobby is closed on Thanksgiving and open on Black Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Home DepoThe stores are closed on Thanksgiving, but open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday. Shops will close at regular times.

HomeGoods stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day but open at 7 a.m. on Black Friday.

Ikea stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day and open from 10am to 9pm on Black Friday.

Neiman Marcus The stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day. Stores typically open at 9am on Black Friday, but hours may vary by location.

Northstream stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day and open early and stay open late on Black Friday, with hours varying by store.

REI is closed on both Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.

Ritual aid stores will maintain regular hours on both Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.

Goal stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day and open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday

TJ Maxx stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day but open at 7 a.m. on Black Friday.

Tractor offer stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day and open on Black Friday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Victoria’s secret is closed on Thanksgiving Day and select locations open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.

Wal vegetables will close most stores on Thanksgiving Day, although most 24-hour locations will remain open to assist customers with pharmacy needs. On Black Friday, the stores are open according to regular opening hours.

Walmart stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day and open at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.

Williams Sonoma stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day and select locations will open at 8 a.m. on Black Friday.

World market stores are closed on Thanksgiving Day and open at 9 a.m. on Black Friday.
