Atleti sealed an emphatic victory in Prague with a ruthless attacking display. Julián Alvarez struck either side of Marcos Llorente’s floating cross in each half (the first was a stunning free-kick), putting the visitors in control just before the hour mark.

Diego Simeone’s men showed no let-up as the match progressed, with substitute Antoine Griezmann marking his 100th UEFA Champions League appearance with a low finish and fellow substitute Ángel Correa scoring twice from close range in the space of four minutes late.

Rafael Leão restored the lead with a delicious drink of his own, before Tammy Abraham took advantage of David Strelec’s misplaced back pass. Substitute Nino Marcelli gave the home team hope with a fierce goal, but that hope was dented when Marko Tolić was subsequently sent off.

Barcelona 3-0 Brest

Highlights: Barcelona 3-0 Brest

Robert Lewandowski’s two goals – including his 100th in the UEFA Champions League – and Dani Olmo’s strike were the difference as Barcelona recorded their 11th consecutive home win in all competitions. Lewandowski broke the deadlock from the penalty spot to mark his century, before Olmo showed off his sublime footwork to add a second.

There was still time for Lewandowski to score another goal for Barcelona’s third in added time, expertly taking Alejandro Balde’s pass in his stride and coolly slotting home.

Highlights: Bayern Munich 1-0 Paris

Minjae Kim’s header saw Bayern extend their winning run without conceding seven games in all competitions. The Korean international nodded emphatically into the roof of the net after the Paris defense failed to clear Joshua Kimmich’s swirling ball from a corner.

Paris, who were reduced to ten men just before the hour mark after Ousmane Dembele’s dismissal for a second yellow card, could have fallen further behind had Matvei Safonov not used his fingertip to convert Jamal Musiala’s powerful strike onto the post.
