Day before Thanksgiving: shopping hours

• Costco: 10am – 8:30pm
• Goal: 7am – 10pm
• Jewel Osco: Opening hours vary, some stores are open from 6am to 12pm, others from 7am to 10pm
• Whole Foods: 8am – 9pm
• Trader Joe’s: Opening hours vary, with some stores opening at 8am and others at 9am. Most shops are open until 9 p.m
• Walmart: 6am – 11pm
• Mariana Islands: 6am – 11pm
• Heinen’s: 8am – 8pm

Stores open on Thanksgiving Day

• Cermak Fresh Market: Hours vary by location
• CVS: 9am to 2pm
• Dollar General: 8am to 10pm
• Family Dollar: 9am to 9pm
• Jewel-Osco: All stores open; opening hours vary by location
• Kroger: 7 a.m. to 3 p.m
• Marianos: 6am to 5pm
• Meijer: 6 a.m. to 5 p.m
• Tony’s Fresh Market: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m
• Walgreens (24-hour locations are open, all others are closed)

According to a post on Starbucks’ website, some Starbucks stores may be open on Thanksgiving depending on location.

U.S. Post Offices will be closed on Thanksgiving, the USPS says, but will open on Friday, November 29.

According to the Illinois Secretary of State, all Secretary of State offices, DMVs and driver’s license facilities will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29.
