Monaco predicted XI against Benfica: Lamine Camara and Caio Henrique will return

Lamine Camara, suspended for Friday’s win over Stade Brestois, is expected to return to the starting line-up on Wednesday evening when AS Monaco take on Benfica in the UEFA Champions League.

In Camara’s place, it was Soungoutou Magassa who played together with captain Denis Zakaria, but it is expected that the youth product will now have to make way. Adi Hütter has changed teams quite a bit so far this season and Caio Henrique has fallen victim to this. Christian Mawissa has excelled at left-back of late but is expected to make way for the Brazilian.

Despite being in poor form, Breel Embolo is still expected to start. Folarin Balogun may return after recovering from a shoulder injury, but he will certainly not be fit to start this encounter. Krépin Diatta (adductors) is the only major absentee for Monaco, which wants to extend its unbeaten run in the Champions League.

Monaco likely to line up against Benfica

Radosalw Majecki; Caio Henrique, Thilo Kehrer, Wilfried Singo, Vanderson; Denis Zakaria, Lamine Camara; Eliesse Ben Seghir, Takumi Minamino, Maghnes Akliouche; Breel Embolo.
