Boston aims to recover before Turkey Day

The Bruins will look for a win on Wednesday before diving into Thanksgiving festivities.

Boston suffered a shutout loss to the Vancouver Canucks thanks to Jake DeBrusk’s decisive goal. Interim head coach Joe Sacco’s squad will look to quickly turn the page when they take on the New York Islanders at UBS Arena on the second night of a back-to-back.

The B’s did not have a morning skate due to the back-to-back set. Sacco has not committed to any goaltending plans after Tuesday, but Joonas Korpisalo is expected to get the nod ahead of Jeremy Swayman. Tyler Johnson and Jordan Osterle were healthy scratches against the Canucks, so they will be options if Sacco chooses to rotate the lines.

New York is expected to bring back defenseman Alexander Romanov after he missed Monday’s loss to the Detroit Red Wings due to illness.

Puck drop for Bruins-Islanders is scheduled for 7:30 PM ET, and you can watch full coverage on NESN starting with the pregame at 6:30 PM.
