The Liga MX Apertura quarterfinals kick off on Wednesday with a pair of matches, including Tijuana versus Cruz Azul. Cruz Azul is the No. 1 seed, while Tijuana is the No. 8 seed.

How to watch Tijuana vs. Cruz Azul

Tijuana last played Atlas in the match at No. 8 and won comfortably 3-0. Raúl Zúñiga scored twice, including a goal just four minutes into the match and another goal after 20 minutes. Kevin Castañeda also scored in the match.

Cruz Azul will be in action for the first time since November 9, when the team drew Tigres 1-1 to end the regular season. The match remained scoreless until Tigres scored in the 88th minute, but Angel Sepulveda put Cruz Azul on the board in stoppage time.

These teams last met in July, when Cruz Azul won 3-0.

Cruz Azul finished the regular season in first place with 42 points and won 13 matches with three draws and one loss. Tijuana had 29 points, won eight times and drew five games, while losing four times.

After this match, Tijuana and Cruz Azul will head to Mexico City on November 30 for the second leg of this match.
