Drier weather before lake effect snow increases

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) –

Conditions will be good for traveling through the region today as we get a bit of a reprieve from the snow. Apart from some light snow, it will be a drier day. Then from tomorrow afternoon through Friday evening, lake effect snow showers will increase in the west and east. This will be fluffy, accumulating snow. Snowfall amounts will range from 3-6″ in the western and eastern provinces and 8-12″ in higher elevations by the weekend. Plan on snowy roads of moderate to heavy intensity at times during this time! Allow extra time for travel delays and slippery roads!
