Happy Thanksgiving to Broncos Country and beyond!

Good morning, Broncosland.

It’s a beautiful Thursday morning and it also happens to be one of my favorite holidays of the year: Thanksgiving.

It is a day full of football, family and friends. What could get better than that? On behalf of Mile High Report, I wish you all a wonderful holiday. Enjoy the day and better yet, I hope you get an extended four day weekend to sit back, relax and enjoy the full slate of football matches.

As the name of the holiday suggests, it is a day of thanksgiving. And in 2024, there is a lot to be thankful for regarding the Denver Broncos. It’s been a while since many of us could say that. With that in mind, here are some things that happened regarding the franchise that I would like to highlight and express my gratitude for.

  • The Broncos look their best since their Super Bowl 50 season. They are on course to make the play-offs if they get things right in the last five games. How exciting is that?
  • The rise of Bo Nix. An eleven-game sample size isn’t enough to predict what the future holds for Nix, but I’m thankful that the starting quarterback is getting better every week. He has looked really good in the last few games and I hope this trend continues. It’s been forever since we’ve seen quality quarterback play in the Mile High City.
  • Sean Payton and Vance Joseph. I admit I was a little skeptical that this duo could change the fortunes of the franchise. However, based on the results so far, I’m eating crow on this one. Those two did a great job. Their body of work is even more impressive when you consider the historic amount of dead money the team faces while being several seasons behind most teams in early-round draft picks.

What about you, Broncosland? What team-related tidbits are you grateful for? Sound off in the comments section and let me know!

As always, thanks for reading. This is what today’s series of articles is for Horse tracks.
