With more than 180 breeds ready to show off, the National Dog Show kicks off Thursday, November 28, after the Macy’s Day Parade.

The beloved pet event was held for the 23rd year at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center on November 16, 2024. Nearly 2,000 dogs entered the competition, all vying for the coveted title of “Best in Show.”

The National Dog Show is organized by the American Kennel Club, which sanctions the best dogs from around the country. Dogs from 205 breeds and varieties will compete in the breed, group and Best in Show categories.

The annual National Dog Show, presented by Purina, is a two-hour family entertainment special and the most watched dog show in America. Viewers can tune into NBC on Thanksgiving Day at noon, right after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
