The best Black Friday deals I tested in 2024

As a full-time product tester and store editor, I try the hottest things on the market. But as a busy mom and pet parent, many items don’t fit into my daily routine. So when something makes my life easier or becomes an important part of my home, you know it’s a must-have.

Of the dozens of products I tested this year, only a handful have become regulars, including Oprah-approved cooling sheets, a dirt-repellent steam mop, and an anti-fatigue mat that makes boring kitchen tasks truly comfortable — grab these essentials while they’re discounted for Black Friday, and thank me later.

Editors’ favorite Black Friday deals

PurSteam 10-in-1 steam mop

People / Dera Burreson

If you think your floors are clean, think again. After wiping this steam cleaner around my kitchen just once, it was disturbing (yet satisfying) to see how brown the microfiber cloth was. The cleaner also doubles as a handheld steamer for clothes and upholstery and has attachments for cleaning carpets, grout, sinks and more.

Martha Stewart Mira anti-fatigue mat

People / Kayla Kitts

Trust me when I say that a quality anti-fatigue kitchen mat will transform your comfort level, especially during the holiday baking season. This air-infused memory foam option from Martha Stewart is comfortable, supportive, easy to clean, and just plain looks good in the kitchen. I even catch my pets lounging on it.

Cosori 6-Quart 9-in-1 Compact Air Fryer

People / Eric Brockob

I won’t mention names, but my last air fryer abruptly rattled towards me. Partly because of the price, I did not hesitate to get this Cosori air fryer. I’ve cooked everything from dinosaur nuggets (ahem, for my 5-year-old) to honey-glazed salmon, making weeknight meals a breeze.

Keurig K-Duo Single Serve Pod and Carafe Coffee Maker

People / Kayla Kitts

My husband and I have very different coffee preferences, so when I tried the Keurig K-Duo, I knew it would become a household staple. The multi-functional design allows you to brew both a carafe of ground coffee and a single-use cup with your favorite pods. Of all the compromises, my coffee doesn’t have to be one.

Cozy earth bamboo sheet set

People / Kayla Kitts

I’ve slept on 15 sets of bamboo sheets, but these are the ones I wash and immediately put back on the bed. Once considered a “favorite” by Oprah, the sheets are undeniably luxurious and the softest bedding I’ve ever packed. Plus, bamboo’s natural cooling properties make them a comfortable solution for hot sleepers like me.

Shark Stratos cordless vacuum cleaner

People / Dera Burreson

I’ve tested a plethora of vacuum cleaners to keep kid messes and pet hair at bay. The Shark Stratos keeps my floors clean and alerts me to all the hidden dirt and debris that I can’t see (which is always shocking). Bonus: The odor neutralizing technology keeps the house smelling fresh and the vacuum folds up for compact storage.

Allbirds ladies couriers

People / Kayla Kitts

After years of putting my feet in heels, I’m in my comfort era, and these Allbirds shoes are some of the most comfortable sneakers I’ve worn. They’re super supportive for all-day wear, and the retro design can be worn casually or dressed up – I’ve worn them with jeans, leggings and dresses.

Gone Softside hand luggage

People / Kayla Kitts

I never thought much about my luggage I tried an Away carry-on. The newer Softside version is just as durable as the classic hardshell, with a water-resistant nylon exterior. It even has a zippered extension if you need a little more space. It is the perfect companion for long weekend trips.

Kosas Revealer concealer

People / Jhett Thompson

I never had dark circles under my eyes until I became a mother (IYKYK). I’m also in my mid-30s, so I’ve developed dry skin. This Kosas concealer overcomes both problems and makes me look fresh and energetic in the morning – even if that’s a total facade.

Apple AirTag pack of 4

People / Kayla Kitts

Believe me when I say: I will never travel without an AirTag on my luggage. I even have one hidden in my car, and I put a wristband on my toddler on his first field trip. This pack of four lets you track multiple assets, all in one simple app.
