2024-25 College Football Playoff Schedule, Dates, TV Channel, Sites

The 2024-25 College Football Playoff marks the eleventh year of the CFP era – and the first year the CFP has used a 12-team format.

The matches are scheduled from December 20, 2024 to January 20, 2025, with the first round on December 20-21, the quarter-finals on December 31 and January 31. 1, semifinals on January 9-10 and finally the CFP National Championship Game on Monday, January 20, 2025 in Atlanta. 2023-2024 College Football Playoff Scores, Results

Featuring one of the most efficient offenses in college football, the 15-0 Michigan Wolverines capped their perfect season by winning their first football national title since 1997. Michigan topped Washington 34-13 in the 2023 CFP National Championship Game- 24.

Michigan QB JJ McCarthy showed off both his arm and legs as he threw for 140 yards and clocked his longest carry all season at 22 yards on a crucial third-and-long in the third quarter. With a key interception in the third quarter, defensive back Will Johnson earned Defensive MVP. Wearing the same jersey number as Johnson (No. 2), Blake Corum earned Offensive MVP after 134 rushing yards. He also added two rushing touchdowns to total his career high of 58, a school record. He concluded during the trophy presentation: “Things have been completed.”

In his ninth season at the helm of his alma mater, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh captured his first national championship with the Wolverines. The game concluded the four-team College Football Playoff’s ten-year run, with the playoffs expanding to twelve teams for the 2024-2025 season.
