Hogwarts Legacy is an incredible experience for fans of the Wizarding World, and as a huge Harry Potter fan, immersing myself in the magic was a dream come true. Now that it’s $29, compared to $59 at Best Buy, I just have to talk about it.

The game beautifully captures the essence of Hogwarts in incredible detail, from the iconic moving stairs to the familiar charm of Hogsmeade. The open world exploration, spells, and character customization were just some of the standout features that made me fall in love with it. In fact, it’s one of the few games I’ve ever completed 100%. This speaks volumes about how engaging, fun and true to the Harry Potter franchise it is. For anyone who loves the Wizarding World, this game is an absolute must must have now that it’s on sale.

Cuphead is one of the most addictive games on Switch. It’s so fascinating that I once missed my stop while playing on the train! Right now, Cuphead is on sale for $25 at Amazon, which is $15, the suggested retail price.

Cuphead has a charming art style that mimics classic 1940s cartoons. Don’t let the cutest visuals fool you: Cuphead is a test game that requires precise platforming. This Switch edition includes the Delicious Last Course (DLC!) expansion with a new playable character, Ms. Chalice.

New Nintendo Switch

Nintendo Switch console deals are snapping up quickly. A few retailers like Best Buy seem to be sold out now, but you can still pick up a Nintendo Switch + Mario Kart bundle for $249 at Walmart. That’s a savings of $50, and you get a Nintendo Switch console in addition to a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and 12 months of Switch Online. If this tempting package has caught your eye, don’t wait too long as it might not stick around…

Sonic borders

Sonic Frontiers is a fun game to play, and it’s definitely worth the money now that it’s down to $24 for Black Friday. The game centers on Sonic, Tails and Amy, who travel to Starfall Islands to investigate the mysterious disappearance of the Chaos Emeralds. After being separated from his friends due to a cyberspace anomaly, Sonic must explore the islands and battle robotic enemies created by an advanced civilization. Meanwhile, a mysterious AI, Sage, warns Sonic of an impending threat.

In our Sonic Frontiers review we said, “As a full-fledged game, Sonic Frontiers has its ups and downs. But as an experiment? Sonic Frontiers is much better than it should be, and it successfully paves a way forward for players.” beloved blue hedgehog.”

For me there is no debate about the very best Switch game, The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is the answer. This must-play Switch exclusive just dropped to a new lowest price for Black Friday. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom costs $30 at Walmart.

In my review I said: “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom lives up to the franchise’s pedigree, and then some. It’s a remarkably confident sequel that refines and remixes elements of Breath of the Wild in wonderfully surprising ways. The hardware it’s limited to can’t always keep up, but that’s a minor blemish on the overall masterful experience that’s essential for all Nintendo fans.”

Get off the couch and get started in Nintendo Switch Sports, the spiritual successor to Wii Sports. This varied sports package includes basketball, golf, football, volleyball, bowling, tennis, badminton and Chambara (also called sword fighting).

It retails for $39 at Best Buy and is a great choice if you want to get your non-gaming friends or family involved this holiday season. Just don’t get too angry if Grandma beats you at bowling!

Super Mario Odyssey launched just a few months after the Switch in 2017. Yet all these years later, it’s still unmatched and remains the best 3D platformer on the Switch console. Right now, Mario Odyssey is on sale for $29 at Best Buy, which is a steal for a game of this quality.

You play as the iconic Nintendo mascot as he travels through different kingdoms in search of Power Moons. Each new environment is unique and full of secrets. Furthermore, with new friend Cappy at your side (or should that be on your head), Mario unlocks the ability to transform into various objects and characters, from a Goomba to a T-Rex.

If you want a Nintendo Switch game that will last until next Black Friday, even a rushed playthrough of Persona 5 Royal will take you over 60 hours. If you take your time (and you should), it can last longer than 150 hours, and there’s never a dull moment.

You play a seemingly ordinary high school student in Tokyo, during the day you go to class and deal with teenage problems, but at night you lead a group of vigilantes known as The Phantom Thieves. Persona 5 Royal combines dungeon crawling with a social sim and is wrapped in some of the best art design in gaming history. It is a modern masterpiece.

SanDisk microSDXC card for Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch comes with a relatively pathetic 32GB of internal storage, and even the Switch OLED only bumps that up to 64GB. To be honest, if you want to build a digital library, you need more space. Luckily, that won’t cost you too much, as the SanDisk 128GB microSDX card retails for $14 from Amazon.

This officially licensed Switch memory card requires virtually no effort to install, just pop it into the Switch’s SD card slot and you’ll have an additional 128GB of storage space to play with.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is everything you could want in a sequel. It builds on the solid foundation laid by its predecessor Kingdom Battle and is a wacky experience packed with charm and silly humor. But it’s not all silly, it features some thoughtful combat encounters that require you to think strategically and make the most of your party member’s unique abilities.

Joy-Cons

Speaking of controllers, if you need an extra (or replacement) set, you can get the Joy-Cons in Neon Red/Neon Blue for $59 at Best Buy. That’s a savings of $20, and these are compatible with both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch OLED. Having a second set of Joy-Cons is especially worthwhile for games like Super Mario Party and Nintendo Switch Sports.

The Switch Pro Controller is more than just just now Nice to have, it’s pretty much an essential accessory for anyone serious about spending time with one of the best Nintendo Switch games. Right now, the Switch Pro Controller is on sale for $49 at Best Buy, down from $69.

The Pro controller is significantly more comfortable to use during extended Switch sessions than the standard Joy-Cons and offers the same features including HD rumble and motion controls. It is also compatible with the Switch in TV, tabletop and handheld modes.

Sega and Nintendo were once fierce rivals, but Sonic now feels completely at home on Mario’s platform. Sonic X Shadows Generations is Blue Blur’s latest adventure and an excellent remaster of a fan favorite.

If you’ve got your eye on a Nintendo Switch OLED this Black Friday, you might want to consider picking up this Mario Kart bundle as it’s selling fast. We saw some retailers drop the price below $300 earlier this week, but stock was snapped up faster than Mario can race around a race track. But even at $349, this is a great deal, as in addition to 12 months of Switch Online, you also get the uber-premium Switch OLED and a copy of an essential Switch game, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
