Paramount+ Releases Official Trailer for Taylor Sheridan’s Landman

Lots of fiery explosions and dirty, rough-and-tumble dudes fill the trailer for the new Paramount+ drama Farmer, which also features a warning from star Billy Bob Thornton about how “getting oil out of the ground is the most dangerous job in the world.”

The West Texas drama about — what else? — oil drilling and profiteering premieres on the streamer Sunday, Nov. 17. The series will launch with two episodes, with subsequent episodes of the 10-episode first season dropping every Sunday.

The series is based on the 11-part podcast “Boomtown” from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly and was co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace.

Starring alongside Thornton are Ali Larter (The last victim), Michelle Randolph (1923), Jacob Lofland (Joker2), Kayla Wallace (When the heart calls), James Jordan (Yellowstone), Mark Collie (Nashville), Paulina Chavez (Ashley Garcia’s Expanding Universe), and Demi Moore (Feud: Capote vs. the Swans). Jon Hamm (Mad men) will play a recurring guest role with Andy Garcia (Consumables franchise) and Michael Peña (End of the watch) also as guest stars.

Farmer is executive produced by Sheridan, David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Christian Wallace, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Stephen Kay. Dan Friedkin and Jason Hoch for Imperative Entertainment, and JK Nickell and Megan Creydt for Texas Monthly also executive producer. Peter Feldman serves as co-executive producer. It is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
