Pink took to Instagram on Thursday and explained why she wouldn’t be rescheduling her show in Des Moines or the other three Midwest locations.

The pop superstar was scheduled to perform at Des Moines’ Wells Fargo Arena on October 24. A few days earlier, she announced she would postpone four shows in Lincoln, Nebraska; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Milwaukee, Wis.; and DesMoines.

Why did Pink cancel her Des Moines show at Wells Fargo Arena?

In recent months, Pink said she has been performing with a torn bicep and two torn meniscus. Pink said she was “deeply sorry” to those who bought tickets for the canceled shows. She said she has been in a lot of pain and needs to slow down to take care of her.

“This is a love letter and an apology to those who had tickets for the show that I canceled,” Pink said on Instagram Thursday evening. “You deserve to be recognized, seen and cared for.”

She said she would have surgery on her shoulder in a week and surgery on her knee in nine weeks.

“I’m becoming the bionic woman,” Pink said on Instagram. “I’m going to come back stronger and harder than I ever have because that’s what I do. But I apologize, that’s the reason I can’t make up those shows.”

Pink said she hopes to one day make it up to fans in the canceled cities.

How to get a refund for Pink’s canceled concert at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines

Refunds will be made at the original point of sale and ticket holders do not need to do anything to get their money back, according to the Wells Fargo Arena website.
