Getting a win provided some legitimate energy and atmosphere for the Cowboys in a way that has been absent for a long time. Things hit such a ceiling of positivity that Jerry Jones even brought up the idea of a possible extension for Mike McCarthy during a radio interview this week.

Injury updates

On Wednesday, it was reported that Brandin Cooks was activated from injured reserve. He will make his full return today against New York. On the other side of that coin, both Caelen Carson and Asim Richards were placed on injured reserve.

NFL news relevant to the Cowboys

Former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones eventually signed with the Minnesota Vikings. Other than that, the Cowboys are clearly one of the first games of Week 13, so the dominoes have yet to really fall.

Next up for the Cowboys

It’s been a tough stretch for the Cowboys as they’ve gone from a Monday night game against Houston to a road game in Washington to this Thanksgiving Day game against New York. Luckily, no pun intended, they will take a short break before returning to our lives Monday night football as the final game of Week 14 when they host the Cincinnati Bengals.
