    ‘Unforeseen circumstances’ lead to cancellation of Sick New World 2025

    LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Sick New World music festival in Las Vegas has been canceled.

    According to the festival’s website, event organizers have been faced with “unforeseen circumstances” that cannot be overcome before the originally planned date of April 2025.

    Channel 13 has reached out to the music festival to find out more about what these circumstances are. We wait for an answer.

    The disappointment that hard rock and heavy metal fans experience is also expressed by one of their biggest headliners: Metallica.

    Fans of the heavy metal band may know that Metallica planned to kick off their 2025 tour in Las Vegas at the festival, but now that won’t happen anymore. On their website, the band said in part:

    We are very disappointed to report that the entire Sick New World Festival has been cancelled. Unfortunately, we will not be starting the 2025 tour in Las Vegas as planned on April 12, 2025. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and we hope we have another opportunity to connect.

    In addition to Metallica, fans could have also seen performances from other major headliners Linkin Park, Volatilization, Stone Age queensand more.

    I bought a ticket. Will I get my money back?

    According to the festival’s website, yes. You will get your money back.

    “Tickets purchased directly from Front Gate Tickets will be automatically refunded to the original payment method within 30 days.”
