The Wisconsin Badgers open their season on Tuesday at the KFC Yum! Center against the Louisville Cardinals, with first service scheduled for 8:30 p.m.

Wisconsin, coming off a strong season that ended last season with a 3-1 loss to the Texas Longhorns in the NCAA semifinals, is hoping to start the year strong on national television against an ACC opponent in Louisville.

Star player Sarah Franklin is back with the team, while key players such as Carter Booth, Anna Smrek and CC Crawford, among others, all return for another season with the Badgers.

Last week, the Badgers played an exhibition game against Bradley, winning 3-0 to open the season at the UW Field House.

The season opener is now officially on Tuesday against Louisville, hoping to get off to a good start before heading to the Fiserv Forum over the weekend for a series against Texas and Stanford.
