Money, money, money, money, and lots of it is up in the air during Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing. An estimated $582 million is up for grabs, making it the ninth-largest jackpot in the game’s history.

The jackpot has risen again after no one won the top prize last Friday, making it the second largest jackpot of the year.

One lucky player could win an estimated one-time payout of $285.5 million if they match all six numbers in Tuesday’s drawing. Today’s drawing takes place at 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday night.

This is the third time this year that a record jackpot has been won by a player in New Jersey, with $1.128 billion. According to Mega Millions officials, that prize has yet to be claimed. A June 4 drawing also saw a winner in Illinois win the $552 million jackpot.

How do you play Mega Millions?

To purchase a ticket, you will need to go to your local grocery store, gas station, or convenience store. In some states, you can also purchase tickets online.

To play, you have to choose six numbers. Five numbers are white balls from 1 to 70. The golden Mega Ball is a number between 1 and 25.

If you think the odds are slim, ask for a “Quick Pick” or an “Easy Pick.” The computer will randomly generate the numbers for you.

Players can add the “Megaplier” for $1, which can increase non-major prize winnings by two, three, four or five times. The Megaplier is drawn before the Mega Millions numbers on Tuesdays and Fridays.

There are 15 Megapiler balls in total:

  • 2X, five balls
  • 3X, six balls
  • 4X, three balls
  • 5X, one ball
