Social media users were furious with CNN after the company claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris gave “the clearest picture yet” of her potential presidency during her interview with the network.

Harris and CNN’s critics lashed out at the network after it made the statement about X following the vice president’s interview with Dana Bash on Thursday night. Many claimed the interview lacked policy details and was filled with “incomprehensible nonsense.”

“Did you guys see it?” GOP communications aide Matt Whitlock asked on X.

CNN’s X account published the dubious claim Thursday night: “In an exclusive CNN interview, Kamala Harris gave the clearest picture yet of her plans for her presidency if elected.”

The post went viral, garnering nearly two million views in less than 24 hours. It drew thousands of comments, many from prominent media figures, who stressed that the interview did not provide a clear picture of Harris’ policy proposals.

Conservative commentator Tim Young lashed out at the network, saying, “Apparently you didn’t watch the interview.”

Charles Cooke, a senior editor at National Review, disputed the post, saying, “At no point did she do anything like that, nor was she asked to do it.”

Journalist and senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute Abigail Shrier noted: “Commentators who say Harris did ‘fine’ are missing the point. Harris sat with enthusiastically supportive media for hours, and CNN could only pick out 18 minutes because the rest, I assume, was incomprehensible nonsense.”

“Kamala Harris may be the emptiest of all empty suits,” Shrier added.

Mollie Hemingway of The Federalist ripped up the CNN report, saying, “This is propaganda that would make the North Koreans blush.”

Commentator “The Redheaded Libertarian” also took issue with CNN’s assessment of Harris’ performance. Paraphrasing the Adam Sandler film “Billy Madison,” she said, “At no point in her rambling, rambling response did she even come close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.”

Stephen L. Miller, an editor at The Spectator, responded to the report by asking, “She did that?”
