Unlike last year, the TV Schedule 2024 will not end without YellowstoneThe last episodes of season 5 finally aired, a year and a half after they were originally scheduled to debut. As proof that new episodes were actually filmed, Paramount Network released the first footage in a while, and many were excited to finally see new footage. And after Kelly Reilly shared the teaser clip, many fans came forward with similar comments, and I really hope the powers that be are paying attention.

The new clips don’t offer many details about what’s coming up leading up to the November premiere, but that hasn’t stopped us from come up with our own theory — but it’s certainly enough to reignite the desire to see Reilly’s Beth Dutton and Cole Hauser’s Rip Wheeler continue their love story on the small screen, as evidenced by the reactions to the actress’ Instagram postwith the following understatement as caption:

Thank you for your patience…

Sure, the comments occasionally erupt with demands of “Death to Jamie!” and “We’ll miss John” sentiments, but given whose post it is, it’s no surprise that the bulk of the feedback is as pro-Beth-n-Rip as it gets. What is perhaps surprising is how many of the commenters seem oblivious to the recent news that Yellowstone may no longer be one of the many shows end in 2024with both Reilly and Hauser in talks to reprise their roles for season 6.

Check out the following example of requests listed in Kelly Reilly’s footage post.

  • Can’t wait!! I wish this series would continue even if it was without Kevin Costner! There are still so many great actors on the show!!! – @sadie_and_sophies_mom

  • I pray there will be a real spinoff with Beth, RIP and the gang. 😢 – @70sborn_woman

  • I watch reruns to get my Kelly/Beth Dutton fix. I feel like I was already grieving when I knew my favorite show of all time was ending. Now I will grieve a second time. I wish you all could keep going. – @mary.duff.1804

  • I can’t wait!! It’s going to be EPIC!! We need this show to continue with Rip and Beth running the ranch!! – @mardim1977

  • I pray that you continue this franchise. Beth is the one who has kept me coming back season after season. Kelly, you are an incredible actress and we thank you for Beth and everything she has given to the show. ❤️ – @joli_conley

  • I want a Rip and Beth show – @nolagirl325

  • I’m gonna miss The Best Female Character that ever graced TV. – @graham1a

That’s not even an exhaustive compilation of all the commentators who express their hope that Rip and Beth will continue in some way, shape, or form. And while TV networks certainly shouldn’t base their core decisions on the whims and follies of social media, these selections of opinions and others like them are the kind that network executives should at least listen to.

Why Paramount Network Should Listen to Yellowstone Fans’ Expectations

At this point the news is over YellowstoneThe cancellation of ‘s and the development of season 6 are still more or less unconfirmed by the network, which recently finally went public with the announcement about another upcoming Yellowstone seriesstarring Michelle Pfeiffer spin-off The Madison. Since it’s not 100% official yet, it’s not all that shocking that some fans still seem unaware that the reports exist. But the fact that so many are still clamoring for a Beth/Rip spinoff is microcosm evidence that a sixth season is 100% here to stay.

I get that this is a simplistic way of looking at things, as there are billions of factors beyond Instagram comments that go into the decision to keep a massively popular TV show on for another year. But my point here is not to say that the comments should inspire Paramount execs to give audiences more Dutton family drama.

I rather think that if there is a point in the process where someone in charge hesitates for a second, that person should step back and read a few comments to be convinced that nothing should stand in the way of maintaining the objectives. Yellowstone on TV, regardless of which other stars are no longer in the saddle.

Are Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser asking for too much money as part of their contract negotiations? Read the comments. Could Reilly’s new show create a potentially costly scheduling conflict? Read the comments and take some time off later. Would mountains literally have to be moved? Read the comments and grab a shovel or two. Whatever it takes, just make it happen, people!

The back half of Yellowstone Season 5 will finally hit Paramount Network audiences on Sunday, November 10 at 8:00 p.m. ET, while the Western drama’s various prequels can be streamed with a Paramount+ subscription.
