Puka Nacua, Steve Avila leave Lions game with knee injuries; Joe Noteboom suffers ankle injury

DETROIT – Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua was forced to leave Sunday night’s game against the Lions at Ford Field due to a knee injury.

Nacua suffered the injury in the first half and was initially doubtful he would return. After being evaluated in the medical tent, he did a few short sprints along the sideline under the supervision of Los Angeles’ medical staff. He briefly returned to the game before returning to the Rams’ sideline, where he sat on the team’s bench and spoke with the medical staff. He was later returned to the locker room.

Nacua recorded four receptions for 35 yards before being injured.

In addition to Nacua, offensive linemen Steve Avila (knee) and Joe Noteboom (ankle) also saw early exits on Sunday evening due to injuries.

Rams head coach Sean McVay said after the game that he had no updates on the injuries to these three players.
