SUGARLAND, Texas (WABC) — One lucky person woke up with an $800 million fortune after snagging the only winning ticket in the latest Mega Millions drawing.

That winning ticket was sold in Sugar Land, Texas. This win comes months after the previous winner secured a $552 million jackpot in Illinois.

The $800 million win in Tuesday night’s drawing is the seventh-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history.

In New York, one person had five correct numbers and won $1 million.

The jackpot had been growing since someone won $552 million in Illinois on June 4.

In 27 drawings since then, more than 20.7 million winning tickets have been sold, including second-tier prizes of $1 million or more, including tickets sold in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York.

According to Mega Millions, the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.

Mega Millions is played in 45 states, Washington, DC and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets cost $2 for a single play.
