Kevin Hart called and hung up to prove to Seth Meyers that he had worked with the “Red One” star before.

In the “Late Night” host’s bar-focused segment, “Seth & Kevin Go Day Drinking,” Meyers told Hart that he would show the comedian a series of actors and Hart would have to say whether or not he had worked with them.

Since Hart has worked on “over 100 projects” (Meyers joked that their computers crashed after they opened the actor’s IMDb page), the host went through several Hollywood stars, including Denzel Washington, Jennifer Aniston and Luke Wilson, until he finally pulled up an image of JK Simmons.

Before mistakenly identifying him as Richard Jenkins, who was shown next to the photo of Simmons, Hart said he was sure he and Simmons were on set together, but that it was for a film yet to be announced or made: a sequel to his “Die Hart” series.

“’Die Hart’! JK and I recently did ‘Die Hart 3,’” Hart exclaimed, thinking he had given the right answer.

“You haven’t worked with either of them,” Meyers said of both actors.

“I did it! ‘Die Hart 3’! Wanna bet!?” Hart struggled.

“Okay, by the way, I’m betting on you! And guess what? Guess what the bet is. If you’re right, I’m going to f—g kill one of the writers. Double check!” Meyers snapped back.

“Okay, I’m going to make a bet,” Hart shouted. “JK Simmons and I just did ‘Die Hart 3.’ The trilogy.”

“Wait, did it come out?” Meyers asked.

“That’s not what you asked me,” Hart said.

“I’m going to call JK,” Hart said later. “Okay, are you ready? This is going to be a quick call. I don’t want to be in production too long. Let’s just do it right away. Okay… JK.”

After asking the production team for a fact check, Hart was finally able to reach out to Simmons.

“What’s up?” we hear Simmons say over the phone.

“I’ll call you back,” Hart said, quickly ending the call.

The whole set laughed.

“I mean, you wouldn’t do something like that to someone you haven’t worked with,” Meyers said.

“Would I do that to anybody but JK? Oh my god,” Hart said. “The only reason I’m gonna drink to that is because hard work tastes different. And boy, oh boy, do you work hard. And your journey to get here is what I celebrate. Good for you, Seth.”
