It’s only Week 2, and yet the number of NFL teams that haven’t lost in the 2024 season is rapidly shrinking. For the Seattle Seahawks, the first season under Mike Macdonald has been a success so far, with the team beating the Denver Broncos in the season opener before going on the road to defeat the New England Patriots.

As Sunday Night Football begins, the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans will battle to remain undefeated, with both teams entering the game at 1-0 this year.

Additionally, both teams will enter the game looking for another opportunity for their young quarterbacks to show what they can do. For the Bears, it’s the number one overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Caleb Williams, leading Shane Waldron’s offense, while for the Texans, it’s the number two overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, C.J. Stroud, at the helm.

Houston enters the game as a 5.5-point favorite over Chicago at FanDuel Sportsbook, which seems reasonable given the Bears’ very limited offensive production in Week 1. The Texans, meanwhile, enter the game feeling like they haven’t missed a beat after finishing the 2023 season strong, and it seems likely that the Texans will cover the spread. However, given how Shane Waldron’s group struggled to put points on the board in Week 1, getting under a 44.5 over/under seems preferable.
