Mother accused of pulling gun on another parent at Cincinnati school

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A woman stood in court Tuesday morning accused of pointing a gun at a woman at LEAP Academy preschool.

Brittany Ingram allegedly threatened another parent with the weapon on the grounds of Westwood High School on Monday, causing the school to go into lockdown and delay school hours.

Ingram pulled out the gun, cocked it and pointed it at the woman, according to court documents. No injuries were reported. There is no word on whether any students witnessed the incident.

The district released the following statement: “Yesterday afternoon, LEAP Academy was temporarily placed on lockdown as a precautionary measure due to an altercation between two parents prior to dismissal of school. The CPS security team followed safety protocols and reported the incident to the Cincinnati Police Department for investigation and continued support.”

Ingram is accused of inciting panic, making aggravated threats and illegal possession of a weapon in a school zone.

A judge has ordered Ingram held on $20,000 bond, absent from all schools, and no contact with the other parent.
