MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) – Today is the last warm and somewhat humid day, which is fitting for the last day of summer, as autumn officially starts on Sunday.

Today we expect temperatures around 27 degrees Celsius, more than 10 degrees above average.

A few showers and thunderstorms are expected ahead of a cold front.

One area will move through Saturday morning into the afternoon, with another wave developing in the late afternoon and evening.

Behind the front line and the second storm line, cooler and drier weather will move across the region.

As the skies clear, we expect temperatures tomorrow to be between 17 and 21 degrees Celsius, a big difference from what we have been feeling lately.

During the coming working week, temperatures will slowly rise to over 21 degrees Celsius and dry weather is expected.
