    Where’s ‘College GameDay’ This Week? What You Need to Know for Week 4

    ESPN’s “College GameDay” welcomes Oklahoma football to the SEC on Saturday.

    “GameDay” heads to Norman for a top-20 SEC matchup between the No. 13 Sooners and No. 7 Tennessee. The matchup marks the season opener in conference play for both teams and OU’s first-ever game in the SEC after dropping out of the Big 12 last season. The matchup will pit two 3-0 teams against each other in a game with implications not only for the conference standings, but potentially for the expanded College Football Playoff.

    The Sooners escaped a potential Tulane upset last week with a 34-19 victory. A pick-six by Jackson Arnold brought the Green Wave within five of Oklahoma early in the fourth quarter before Arnold scored a 24-yard touchdown run to seal the game with six minutes left. The sophomore completed 18 of 29 passes for 169 yards, one touchdown and an interception, and added 97 yards and two scores rushing.

    Tennessee is coming off a 71-0 win over Kent State in which the Vols broke a program record for most points scored. Quarterback Nico Iamaleava figures to be a potential Heisman Trophy candidate, while running backs Dylan Sampson and DeSean Bishop flashed their big-play prowess by combining for six touchdowns.

    Where is ‘College GameDay’ in week 4?

    ESPN’s “College GameDay” heads to Norman on Saturday for the top-20 matchup between No. 7 Tennessee and No. 13 Oklahoma. The game marks the Sooners’ SEC debut, while the Vols open 2024 SEC play.

    The show is Norman’s first since appearing at Bedlam during the 2020 season, when the No. 6 Sooners defeated No. 20 Oklahoma State 41-13. Former OU basketball star Trae Young was the guest selector for the show.

    Oklahoma has appeared on GameDay 40 times, tied with Michigan for fourth most in history. The Sooners’ 41st appearance on Saturday will place them one behind Florida (42) for third all-time. Oklahoma has a 27-13 record on GameDay, with its 27 wins ranking third behind Ohio State (40) and Alabama (37).

    The match is scheduled for 6:30pm CT on Saturday, September 21.

    Country musician Blake Shelton will be the celebrity guest picker for “College GameDay” in Week 4. He was born in Ada, Oklahoma, and now lives near Tishomingo. Shelton’s role was revealed on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Thursday.
