The Seahawks are mediocre.

They are going to participate in the play-offs.

They’re fine, but what we saw last night is what we saw each of the last two seasons as part of why Pete Carroll is gone.

They’re just not in the same zip code as the 49er.

The 49er beat them up and pushed them around.

Yeah, look how we got back into the game.

They had chances to win.

It’s like the Sea Hawks are what they are.

It’s going to be this 98, maybe 10 if all goes well, while everyone was kind of lukewarm about the 49er coming into this game and maybe they’re not that good.

Maybe the 49ers are just fine.

They are a top five team in the NFL.

They will get healthier as we go along.

They can still turn off someone’s lights.

They can still win a Super Bowl.

That’s what happened to me last night.

I did a few media hits heading into Thursday and it was still, we were worried about Brock Purdy and last night I looked at it and I was like, this is, we have to stop having it and I personally, I have to deal with this every quit two or three games.

What is Brock Purdy?

Let’s reassess what Purdy is now?

Oh, dear.

Not everything has been perfect.

Oh, they’re having a hard time.

We’ve got to give them moments to sort themselves out just like we do every other team and, and I’ve got to keep repeating the first four games of the season or preseason over and over again and then the next four games in the season are essentially , that’s where your season really starts.

You should find your chemistry at that point and start clicking.

Look, you know, I love my eighties, wrestling analogies like a hacksaw, Jim Duggan used to walk into the wrestling rink.

Just go, oh, with the big two-by-four over his shoulder, that’s how I feel every time Brock Purdy makes a throw like he did last night to George Ktel in the end zone, because there just aren’t a lot of quarterbacks out there who get the ball being able to throw so perfectly and accurately in that situation.

Like there was an inch for that ball to go in and he squeezed it in and I found myself thinking, oh, because I’ve been saying it for a long time, I, the funny thing is at some point I just don’t care where he was drafted and at some point I don’t care who his head coach is.

I’m just looking at a quarterback performing this year.

He uses that Ale-theism.

He runs around, sometimes he makes plays.

We didn’t know he could make it and he still delivers incredibly accurate, timely football.

Every time he seems to have to like it, yes even very good quarterbacks will have good games or bad games every now and then, it happens to them all.

I’m just tired of every time he has a bad game turning into this story that Brock Purdy isn’t good.

Like he’s proven he’s going to get paid, he should get paid.

He is one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL.
