Actress and UO alum Kaitlin Olson named celebrity guest selector for ESPN’s College GameDay

ESPN’s College GameDay will be live from Eugene on Saturday, and the Ducks will have a famous alum on the set of the show.

On Thursday, ESPN announced that actress Kaitlin Olson will be the celebrity guest selector.

Each week, the show brings a celebrity on set to join the GameDay crew and make picks for each of the day’s top college football games, with the celebrity often a graduate or affiliated with the school or city where the show is broadcast.

In 2022, Oregon women’s basketball legend Sabrina Ionescu was the celebrity guest voter during GameDay’s most recent visit to Eugene.

Olson, a Portland native, is best known for her role as Dee Reynolds on the FX comedy series “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” which premiered its 16th season in 2023.

Olson currently stars in the ABC crime drama series “High Potential,” which debuted last month. Olson graduated from the University of Oregon in 1997.

College GameDay will air live Saturday from Memorial Quad on the U of O campus from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m.
