Miles Capers injury update: Vanderbilt EDGE hospitalized, per SEC Network

The Vanderbilt-Kentucky game on Saturday night took a very serious turn, as Commodores EDGE rusher Miles Capers found himself on the field after a scary helmet-to-helmet hit. Capers remained on the field for several minutes before medical staff from both teams treated him on the field in Lexington. The stretcher and backboard were both brought onto the field.

Finally, Capers was loaded onto the stretcher and wheeled out of the stadium. A few minutes later, the SEC Network’s Cole Cubelic updated his status twice. “I received an update from the medical staff at Vanderbilt. He is in the British hospital. He’s stable. He will undergo tests…’ Cubelic explained.

Shortly afterwards he was driven out of the stadium. “Went into the tunnel. Was loaded into the ambulance. His family joined him there, where he will be taken to the British hospital for further evaluation,” Cubelic said.
