Beloved comedian and radio personality Wanda Smith reportedly died at the age of 58. The news was revealed this evening – just one day after her birthday on October 11.

The Miami native was known for her on-air career co-hosting the radio show in Atlanta Frank and Wanda in the morning. She hosted the morning show from 1998-2012, spent four years with Ryan Cameron from 2014 to early 2018, and then rejoined Frank Ski for another stint at the station (according to WSBtv.com). Smith earned credits writing for Def Comedy Jam and appearing in the films Madea goes to jail, Madea’s witness protectionAnd The drone that saved Christmas.

Her boisterous personality and her legacy of laughter are evident in the condolences that have begun to appear on social media.
