Stevie Nicks Debuts ‘The Lighthouse’ on Ariana Grande-Hosted ‘SNL’

Stevie Nicks debuted her new single “The Lighthouse” last night (October 12) on the Ariana Grande-hosted episode of Saturday evening livewhich marks her first appearance on the show in 41 years. The song, released late last month, was inspired by the Supreme Court striking down the constitutional right to abortion in 2022.

“I’ve often said to myself, ‘This might be the most important thing I ever do,’” the Fleetwood Mac legend said at the time. “To stand up for the women of the United States and their daughters and granddaughters – and the men who love them.” This is an anthem.”

Thanks to the presence of Grande, who was promoting her upcoming film Badthe show was packed with music-related comedy. Grande impersonated Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus and Gwen Stefani as part of her monologue, spoofed Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Espresso’ during a wedding-themed sketch, offered a new spin on Celine Dion’s recent performance in a Sunday night football commercial and performed the Isley Brothers’ “Twist and Shout” while playing a castrat.
