ORIGINAL STORY: Early Friday morning, a major power outage was reported in Atascadero, impacting nearly 3,000 customers.

The outage was initially reported at 6:23 a.m. and affected 2,916 customers.

The outage is concentrated around Highway 101 from Vineyard Drive to Highway 41.
