Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce attend the Yankees playoff game in New York

One of the country’s most prominent and influential couples shared the spotlight Monday night during the baseball postseason as the New York Yankees opened the American League Championship Series at home.

Major League Baseball posted a video of pop giant Taylor Swift and friend Travis Kelce, a tight end for the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs, in the stands after previously announcing they would be in attendance.

The Yankees will host the opening game of the ALCS against the Cleveland Guardians in a best-of-seven battle to determine which team will advance to the World Series to face the winner of the National League Championship Series between the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Swift and Kelce have become a mainstay at high-profile sporting events, especially in New York City. Last month, the couple kept the paparazzi busy with a trip to Arthur Ashe Stadium, where Italian Jannik Sinner defeated American Taylor Fritz for the US Open men’s tennis championship.

Each member of the Swift-Kelce phenomenon has spent time supporting the other this year, with Kelce, 35, attending a number of Swift’s sold-out Eras Tour concerts around the world, including in Australia, and Swift, 34, Kelce supported the state in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win in Las Vegas on Feb. 11.

More recently, Swift was back at Arrowhead Stadium on October 7 to support the Chiefs as they defeated the New Orleans Saints 26-13 at home. Kelce posted a 70-yard reception.

Late last year, the Eras Tour became the highest-grossing tour in history, worth more than $1 billion, according to concert industry publication Pollstar.
