    The New York Yankees will host the Cleveland Guardians for Game 1 in the American League Championship Series.

    The Yankees’ lineup remains one of the most fearsome in the MLB, led by Aaron Judge and Juan Soto. The Guardians, meanwhile, needed five games to outlast their division rivals, the Detroit Tigers, and defeat AL Cy Young favorite Tarik Skubal in Game 5 to secure their trip to the ALCS. The Guardians also boast a surprisingly strong offense, finishing 12th in the league in home runs (185) just a year after finishing last. They have made tremendous progress in a very short time to keep their championship window open.
