Cooper Koch revealed what filming the nude scene in Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story was actually like.

Cooper Koch has said that he has not used a prosthesis in his body Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez nude scene.

The one from Netflix Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez contains many shocking moments. Although the drama is based on real events, the series has faced backlash due to inaccuracies. Monsters plays on unfounded theories that Lyle and Erik were incestuous and implies that Erik was queer, despite the real Erik claiming in interviews that he was not gay.

In one scene, Erik has a sexual encounter in the shower with another inmate, during which actor Cooper Koch had to appear completely naked.

Now Cooper has opened up about filming the scene, revealing he didn’t use a prosthetic limb.

In Monsters episode 3, there is a scene where Erik follows a prisoner into the prison showers. While showering, Erik and the prisoner look at each other and touch themselves. Cooper appears completely naked in the scene.

Appears on Watch what’s happening live with Andy Cohen, Cooper said, “Just so you know, mine wasn’t a prosthetic.”

“Congratulations Cooper, you are very blessed, aren’t you?” Andy added, before Cooper shyly replied, “Well… hung up.”

When asked, “What’s the scariest thing about showing full frontal nudity on camera?”, Cooper said he wasn’t really worried about it. He explained: “You know it’s not scary. I would say it’s more uncomfortable at first. It’s colder. Especially in the shower. It was hot at first.”

Did Erik Menendez have a boyfriend in prison?

As well as sharing a sexual shower with another inmate MonstersErik later tells the prisoner that he is not gay, but that he likes the prisoner. He also tells his attorney Leslie Abramson that he had a consensual sexual relationship with another boy as a teenager, but that he has conflicting feelings about his sexuality because of his father’s abuse.

Despite these scenes being included in the show, they reportedly did not occur in real life and there is nothing to indicate that Erik actually had a sexual relationship with a man in prison. At the time, journalists and prosecutors suggested that Erik was gay, but Erik shut down speculation surrounding his sexuality.

In a 1996 interview with Barbara Walters, Erik officially denied that he was homosexual. He explained that his prosecutor suggested he was gay based on the abuse he experienced, but that it was a homophobic presumption.

Erik said: “It was disturbing to hear. I’m not gay, but a lot of gay people write and feel connected to me.”
