Jets’ Woody Johnson Talks Davante Adams Trade, Says ‘Status Quo’ Won’t Lead to Wins | News, scores, highlights, stats and rumors

New York Jets owner Woody Johnson didn’t mince words about the team’s desire to win in the wake of Tuesday’s deal to acquire Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders.

Speaking to reporters at the league meetings in Atlanta, Johnson said “the status quo is killing us” as the main driving force to reunite Adams with Aaron Rodgers.

“You have to go with your instincts and build a culture,” Johnson added. “He will open everything.”

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoportthe Jets send a conditional draft pick to the Raiders for Adams.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter added the Jets’ 2025 third-round pick to the Raiders who could become a second-round pick if certain individual or team performance benchmarks are met.
