Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee was shot “multiple times” in Las Vegas early Tuesday while walking his dog, TheWrap has learned.

Representatives for the famed rock musician, also known for playing in the bands Red Dragon Cartel and Badlands, said he is in hospital and in stable condition after what police described as a “completely random” act of violence.

“As confirmed by management, legendary rock guitarist Jake E. Lee (Ozzy Osbourne, Badlands, Red Dragon Cartel) was shot multiple times during a street shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada early this morning,” the statement said. “Lee is fully conscious and doing well in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Las Vegas. He is expected to make a full recovery.

“Las Vegas authorities believe the shooting was completely random and occurred while Lee was walking his dog in the early morning hours,” the statement continued. “As police are investigating the incident, there will be no further comments. Lee and his family appreciate their privacy at this time.”
